I truly care - about our families, our future, and the challenges people are facing every day. This isn't about power or money for me. It's about people in our county.

I'm not backed by special interests or fancy fanfare. I'm backed by real conversations, lived experiences, and a genuine desire to make things better - for all of us - here in Washington County. 

This campaign isn't about me, it's about connection. It's about listening, learning, and building something meaningful together.

Hi, my name is Indira Aranha and I am the Campaign Manager for Lara Shepherd’s campaign for County Commissioner! 

I have enjoyed getting to know so many people throughout this journey, and cannot wait to meet so many more! My goal for the campaign is to see a change within our local government: one that aims to protect its people and listens to the valuable voices that make the community special. My work includes community outreach, policy research, social media and marketing, organization, and strategic planning. 

Our goal is to connect the public to the government that is going to be representing it. You deserve transparency and support, which is what we aim to develop because Lara cares about keeping community needs reflected in policy. We want to aid in lowering housing costs, improving teacher pay and support, expanding accessible transportation, supporting EMS workers, and much more. We appreciate all of the support given to us, and look forward to our journey through to the election and beyond!
